gaussianBlur

A soft, even blur of the child.

gaussianBlur(opts: {intensity: PropRef}): ComputeBackedEffect

Import effects from shaders/std and use effects.blurs.gaussianBlur.

intensity is a prop from 0 to about 200; 100 is a blur radius of about 36 pixels. Bind the prop to a map to vary the blur across the canvas. Only color blurs; the child's alpha stays sharp, so soft edges need a group or mask around the layer.

Parameters

NameTypeNotes
opts{intensity: PropRef}

Example

...gaussianBlur({intensity: p('intensity')})

Tip. The blur runs at a fixed working resolution, so its cost does not grow with the canvas.
