Shader Effects, Inc. ("Shaders," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website (shaders.com), design editor, component libraries, and related services (the "Service").

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and authentication credentials through our third-party authentication provider (Clerk). We may also collect optional profile information you choose to provide.

Payment Information

Payment and billing information is collected and processed by Polar, our merchant of record. We do not store complete credit card numbers or payment credentials on our servers.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including:

  • Pages visited and features used
  • Time spent on the platform
  • Design editor interactions and preset usage
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • IP address and general location (city/region level)
  • Referral source and navigation patterns

Telemetry Data

The Shaders component library may collect anonymous performance data when deployed in your applications, including:

  • Performance metrics (frame rate, render times)
  • Component usage patterns
  • Domain name where Shaders is deployed
  • Browser family and device type
  • Renderer type (WebGPU or WebGL)

This data is transmitted to our servers and third-party analytics services (PostHog). Telemetry data does not include personal information, IP addresses, or user identifiers and respects Do Not Track browser settings. You may disable telemetry by setting the disableTelemetry prop.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Process transactions and manage subscriptions
  • Send service-related communications and updates

We respect Do Not Track (DNT) browser settings. When DNT is enabled, our telemetry collection will not collect data from end users of applications using Shaders components.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice on the Service. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when the policy was last revised.

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
