tapeWarp

The wobbling, jittering coordinates of a worn VHS tape, to feed into chromaSmearTaps.

tapeWarp(opts: {wobble: ArgSpec; jitter: ArgSpec; speed: ArgSpec}): (params: RttFilterParams) => Expr

Import effects from shaders/std and use effects.blurs.tapeWarp.

wobble (0–5) is the tape damage: waves, creases and head-switching noise that burst on and off over time. jitter (0–1) is fine per-scanline noise. speed scales the global clock, so the definition needs no animatedTime.

Parameters

NameTypeNotes
opts{wobble: ArgSpec; jitter: ArgSpec; speed: ArgSpec}

Example

chromaSmearTaps({warp: tapeWarp({wobble: p('wobble'), jitter: p('scanlineNoise'), speed: p('speed')}), smear: p('smear')})
