refractedTaps

The child seen through a flute frame, with edge handling and a color split when aberration is above 0.

refractedTaps(
  frame: GatherFrame,
  opts: {aberration: PropRef; edges: PropRef},
): SampleStage

Import effects from shaders/std and use effects.blurs.refractedTaps.

edges is a prop with transform: transformEdges and compileTime: true. aberration is the same prop the frame uses; give it a recompile rule that fires when it crosses 0. Returns straight alpha, so close the stack with {resultAlpha: 'straight'}.

Example

effect: gatherStack(refractedTaps(flute, {aberration: p('aberration'), edges: p('edges')}), [fluteHighlight(flute, {lightAngle: 30, highlight: 0.2, softness: 0.3, color: p('highlightColor')})], {resultAlpha: 'straight'})
